Lead Hardware Development/Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the overall hardware testing roadmap for autonomous robotic systems
• Develop test methodologies, validation plans, and test execution frameworks
• Set up and configure testing labs, including equipment and tool selection
• Design and implement custom test fixtures to ensure reliability and repeatability
• Execute hardware tests and troubleshoot complex issues hands-on
• Provide technical direction to hardware and software test engineers
• Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical, electrical, and software teams

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
• Proven experience working with autonomous systems, robotics, or advanced hardware platforms
• Hands-on experience with hardware validation and testing
• Experience with lab setup and test equipment selection
• Proven ability to design custom test fixtures
• Ability to operate independently and bootstrap new processes and teams from scratch

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with mechatronics systems
• Background in autonomous robotics development environments
• Experience providing technical leadership for test teams
• Familiarity with the integration of hardware and software testing
