Lead Hand

Responsibilities

• Ensure strict compliance with Health & Safety protocols and maintain a hazard-free work environment
• Lead, motivate, and mentor sorters and package handlers, serving as their primary point of reference
• Manage warehouse operations including sorting layout setup, scanning, and processing packages
• Assign labor and manage workforce deployment to ensure operational efficiency
• Oversee shipping and receiving tasks, including unloading trailers and verifying freight against manifests
• Handle driver credentials, Bill of Lading (BOL) exchanges, and secure docking procedures
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization

Requirements

• Proven experience in team leadership and mentoring within a warehouse or logistics setting
• Strong understanding of shipping and receiving workflows
• Demonstrated ability to manage workflow, sorting, and package processing
• Proficiency in data entry and warehouse management tasks
• Commitment to enforcing safety standards and conducting safety audits
