Lead Hand

Responsibilities

• Ensure strict compliance with Health & Safety protocols and maintain a hazard-free work environment
• Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of sorters and package handlers
• Manage workflow by setting up sorting layouts and assigning labor as required
• Supervise the sorting, scanning, and processing of packages, including returns and defective items
• Oversee shipping and receiving tasks, including unloading trailers and verifying freight against manifests
• Perform data entry and maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness

Requirements

• Proven experience in team leadership and mentoring
• Strong understanding of workflow and sorting management in a logistics environment
• Experience in shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations
• Proficiency in data entry tasks
• Demonstrated commitment to Health & Safety standards and protocol compliance
