Lead Hand

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety protocols and maintain a hazard-free work environment
• Enforce safe working methods and conduct regular safety audits and warehouse checks
• Motivate, lead, and mentor sorting teams and warehouse associates
• Support the supervision of sorting, scanning, and processing packages, including returns
• Manage workforce deployment and assign labor as required
• Oversee shipping and receiving, including unloading trailers and verifying freight against manifests
• Manage warehouse organization, cleanliness, and sorting layouts
• Perform data entry and handle driver credentials and Bill of Lading (BOL) exchanges

Requirements

• Proven experience in team leadership or a supervisory role
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety compliance in a warehouse setting
• Experience with shipping, receiving, and warehouse organization
• Ability to manage workforce deployment and labor assignment
• Proficiency in data entry and operational workflow management
