Lead Guidance Navigation and Control (GNC) Engineer

Responsibilities

• Define Guidance, Navigation and Control mission requirements and ensure traceability from system to component level
• Develop and refine complex, nonlinear, 6 degrees of freedom simulation models using multidisciplinary data
• Design flight control laws using modern linear control design techniques to achieve performance targets
• Implement and test vehicle models and controllers using software languages such as C, C++, FORTRAN, or Python
• Perform model validation against test data to improve simulation accuracy
• Support flight simulations, hardware-in-the-loop development, and flight test planning and execution
• Lead design reviews, analyses, and system testing to ensure products meet customer requirements
• Train and coach junior engineering staff

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field
• 14 or more years of related work experience
• 5+ years of dedicated experience in Guidance Navigation and Control (GNC) engineering
• Proficiency using Matlab/Simulink or MatrixX for system modeling
• U.S. Person status required (U.S. Citizen, National, or lawful permanent resident)
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance
