Lead GIS Analyst

Responsibilities

• Provide geospatial support including data development, analysis, and ETL processes
• Query and analyze spatial and non-spatial data using GIS, SQL, and Python
• Develop and maintain geospatial datasets and metadata documentation
• Administer ArcGIS Online organizations and maintain user guides
• Create and maintain web map applications, dashboards, and hub sites
• Coordinate enterprise GIS projects and provide oversight to subordinate employees
• Prepare and deliver training sessions and presentations on mapping software

Requirements

• Four years of relevant professional experience
• Baccalaureate degree in GIS, Geography, Urban Planning, Statistics, or related field
• Proficiency in Python scripting for automation
• Proficiency in database management including PostgreSQL
• Advanced proficiency in ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online
• Experience with data visualization and graphics tools
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Must be a City of Philadelphia resident within six months of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field
• Proficiency in statistical methods, correlation, and regression
• Experience with ArcGIS extensions (Spatial Analyst, Network Analyst, etc.)
• Experience building ETL processes
• Proficiency in R or related statistical software
• Experience with multi-user versioned and distributed editing in ArcGIS SDE
