Lead Generative AI Analyst

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of multimodal annotators and reviewers to deliver Chinese (zh-CN) multimedia and language data labeling work.
• Act as the primary point of contact for workflow questions, triaging issues and escalating unclear cases.
• Track team performance and quality metrics, including throughput, error rates, and rework.
• Own calibration and consistency efforts to reduce variance across reviewers.
• Create, maintain, and improve guidelines, specifications, and documentation for edge cases.
• Establish and run quality workflows such as sampling, second-pass reviews, and audits.
• Support onboarding, training, and ongoing coaching for new annotators.
• Maintain clear reporting on delivery status, risks, and blockers to internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• Native level proficiency in Chinese (zh-CN).
• 5+ years of experience in data annotation, multimodal labeling, or content QA.
• 2+ years of experience in team leadership or workflow leadership.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proven experience working with structured guidelines and managing complex edge cases.
• Ability to work onsite full-time in the San Jose, CA area.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with generative AI systems, LLMs, RLHF, or multimodal AI workflows.
• Experience evaluating prompts, responses, images, videos, or AI training datasets.
• Experience with taxonomy creation, evaluation rubrics, or dataset quality initiatives.
• Python or scripting knowledge.
• Proficiency in additional languages such as Korean, Japanese, Spanish, or French.
