Lead Frontend Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of complex frontend features using Next.js, React, and TypeScript.
• Ensure code quality and maintainability through reusable components, atomic design principles, and robust documentation.
• Integrate REST and GraphQL APIs efficiently while optimizing for performance and scale.
• Drive adoption of performance best practices including Lighthouse, Core Web Vitals, and accessibility standards (WCAG).
• Provide architectural oversight for integrating headless CMS platforms such as Contentful, Optimizely, or Sitecore.
• Act as the technical authority within a cross-functional squad, owning feature delivery from planning to production.
• Conduct peer code reviews, enforce coding standards, and mentor other frontend developers through pair programming and design sessions.

Requirements

• 6–8+ years of frontend engineering experience.
• 4+ years of production experience with React.js and Next.js.
• Strong fluency in JavaScript and TypeScript, including modern ES6+ features.
• Experience building and scaling large component libraries or design systems.
• Deep understanding of API integration patterns, including REST and GraphQL.
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks such as Jest, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Experience with modern CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployment platforms (Vercel, Netlify, AWS, etc.).
• Strong background working with headless CMS platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading delivery across global or distributed teams.
• E-commerce experience with platforms like SAP, Commerce Cloud, or Shopify.
• Experience with middleware development using Node.js or serverless frameworks.
• Prior experience with analytics platforms such as Adobe Analytics, Segment, or GA4.
