Lead Frontend Developer

Responsibilities

• Design and develop user interfaces using React, Remix, and TypeScript
• Define and maintain frontend architecture to ensure performance, scalability, and reliability
• Collaborate with backend and product teams to design and integrate with GraphQL APIs
• Mentor and support other engineers in writing clean, well-typed, and maintainable code
• Review code and guide best practices across TypeScript and React development
• Improve developer experience, build tools, and CI/CD pipelines for frontend applications
• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to long-term technical strategy

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience building frontend systems
• Deep expertise in TypeScript and modern React patterns
• Experience designing and implementing complex UIs and frontend architectures
• Ability to overlap with US Pacific Time business hours (key meetings between 8:30am–2:30pm PT)
• Strong communication skills and experience working in cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Remix, Next.js, or similar frameworks
• Familiarity with GraphQL (Apollo, Urql, or Absinthe)
• Strong understanding of frontend performance, accessibility, and testing (e.g., Jest, Playwright)
• Experience with design systems and component libraries
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, AWS)
• Experience building secure applications handling sensitive data
