Lead Formulation Technician

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Formulation team by providing daily guidance, coordination of routine work, and performance feedback
• Serve as the primary point of contact for the Formulation team within the laboratory environment
• Lead training for technicians to ensure proficiency in manufacturing processes and safety protocols
• Troubleshoot automated production equipment, including pipettes, label printers, and vialing/lyophilizing equipment
• Initiate deviation and non-conformance reports and review team records for accuracy
• Coordinate the manufacturing of customer contract materials with specialized handling requirements
• Participate in inventory control, reagent management, and 5S laboratory efficiency initiatives
• Ensure all team members adhere to laboratory safety precautions and use appropriate personal protective equipment

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Engineering, or a related field
• Two years of industry experience in a manufacturing role
• Minimum of one year of experience in a Team Lead capacity
• Knowledge of cGMP and/or ISO certification standards
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with MRP or ERP systems (JDE preferred)
• Ability to handle BSL2 reagents
