Lead Formulation Scientist

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for technology transfer activities for existing products
• Review proposals, timelines, protocols, manufacturing documents, and test results for tech transfer projects
• Manufacture experimental batches and provide support during the manufacture of qualification batches
• Troubleshoot problems occurring during tech transfer activities
• Prepare and review technical regulatory documents for tech transfer submissions
• Design formulations and processes for new products, including development, optimization, and scale-up batches
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Federal guidelines, compendial requirements, and technical innovations
• Attend training sessions to maintain skills in cGMP and safety awareness

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 9 years of experience, Master's degree with 7 years of experience, or Doctorate with 5 years of experience
• Comprehensive understanding of solid oral dosage form development, process optimization, and scale-up
• Working knowledge of pharmacokinetics, cGMPs, Standard Operating Procedures, and FDA regulations
• Strong technical writing, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and ability to perform statistical computations
• Ability to work in laboratory, pilot plant, and production plant environments
