Lead Flight Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate flight test mission requirements with internal and external customers
• Develop flight test and mission profiles, publish test plans, and create flight test cards
• Manage test schedules and coordinate the availability of test ranges and facilities
• Establish test planning working groups and conduct flight test readiness reviews
• Conduct ground and flight tests in accordance with established procedures
• Participate in post-test data evaluation, problem identification, and resolution
• Prepare and publish test summaries and reports
• Lead test team training, mentor team members, and oversee preflight/post-test briefings
• Support Cost Account Manager (CAM) activities and lead remote site deployments

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field
• 7+ years of experience working on flight test programs
• 7+ years of experience with flight test principles or supporting flight test operations
• Experience supporting a military flight test program
• Ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally

Preferred Qualifications

• Active U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)
• Experience leading flight test execution in a control room environment as a test conductor or director
• Experience authoring test plans and test cards for military flight test programs
• Experience serving as a Cost Account Manager (CAM)
