Lead Fire Protection Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform professional-level fire protection engineering services including life safety code consulting, sprinkler design, and fire alarm design
• Develop and review plans, specifications, and inspection reports for accuracy and professional standards
• Conduct building code analyses, egress analyses, and smoke control systems reviews
• Lead and provide quality control reviews for projects involving fire and egress modeling using FDS, Pathfinder, or Contam
• Manage, plan, and direct engineering activities for assigned projects
• Prepare and present technical reports and presentations
• Participate in Business Development activities

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in code consulting, fire suppression/alarm system design, and performance-based strategies
• Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.)
• Experience with fire and egress modeling (FDS, Pathfinder, or Contam)
• Excellent report writing and interpersonal skills
• Ability to present technically sound engineering strategies
