About the role

Responsibilities

  • Deliver Financial Crime Advisory support to EMEA businesses, ensuring alignment with EU and UK regulations
  • Provide risk-based advice on onboarding, periodic reviews, and complex KYC/EDD processes
  • Act as a primary advisor to senior executives, offering pragmatic financial crime guidance
  • Serve as deputy to the Business Advisory Manager in governance forums and working groups
  • Advise on new products and services to ensure appropriate controls and monitoring are incorporated from inception
  • Provide independent challenge to lines of business and corporate risk programs
  • Partner with leadership to develop innovative strategies for reducing financial crime risk
  • Support the management of risk-based programs, including procedures, controls, and trend analysis
  • Assist the MLRO in managing day-to-day FCRM activities and risk assessments
  • Maintain an effective framework complying with AML, CTF, Sanctions, ABC, and Anti-Tax Evasion requirements

Requirements

  • Experience in Financial Crimes, Operational Risk, Fraud, Sanctions, Anti-Bribery, or Corruption

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in financial crime risk management within the EMEA region
  • Strong knowledge of AML, Sanctions, ABC, and Anti-Tax Evasion frameworks
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage governance policies and procedures
  • Proficiency in regulatory reporting, risk indicators, and impact assessments
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with experience working with global teams
  • Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
