Lead Finance Applications Systems Transformation

Responsibilities

• Act as the functional design authority for finance application configuration, posting logic, and embedded controls.
• Lead requirements definition and translate business needs into clear, testable functional designs and specifications.
• Drive the creation of foundational operating artifacts, including runbooks, playbooks, SOPs, and decision trees.
• Ensure functional stability and predictable behavior of finance applications and master data to support high-quality close outcomes.
• Safeguard SOX compliance and audit readiness through strong system controls and disciplined execution.
• Serve as the primary functional escalation point for high-risk finance system or data issues.
• Identify opportunities to simplify configurations, reduce manual workarounds, and drive standardization across domains like A2R, P2P, and O2C.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required (advanced degree preferred).
• 8–12 years of experience in finance systems, ERP enablement, or finance transformation roles.
• Strong understanding of finance processes, accounting principles, month-end close, and internal controls.
• Hands-on experience with ERP finance modules and related finance applications.
• Proven experience with SOX compliance and maintaining audit-safe system environments.
• Demonstrated ability to drive knowledge transfer and documentation build-out in complex environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root-cause analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in global, matrixed organizations.
• Experience with Finance Master Data Enablement and Enterprise MDM standards.
• Ability to partner effectively across Finance, IT, Data, and Controls teams.
