Lead Field Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Manage, supervise, and optimize the performance of a team of field service technicians and engineers
• Lead and coordinate start-up and commissioning activities for electrical equipment across multiple customer sites
• Provide daily guidance, coaching, mentorship, and technical support to field service technicians
• Serve as the technical lead for advanced troubleshooting and product expertise
• Resolve punch list items on job sites and ensure paperwork deliverables are met
• Coordinate with commercial and administration teams for requests outside of startup scope
• Ensure technicians have required tools, materials, and documentation
• Report product or quality concerns to management and collaborate with engineering teams

Requirements

• Associate degree, vocational training, military experience, or equivalent in power distribution systems
• Minimum of 2 years of field service experience with an emphasis on electrical equipment commissioning
• Understanding of lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures involving multiple power sources
• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50lbs
• Willingness to travel up to 75%

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with switchgear, electrical distribution systems, and electrical control systems
• Familiarity with advanced communication protocols and networking concepts
• Prior supervisory or lead-level experience
