Lead, Field Engineering

Responsibilities

• Lead the installation, maintenance, and modification of complex electronic systems for US and UK Navy submarine platforms.
• Manage projects and processes within the Cape Canaveral System Test group to achieve operational targets.
• Support Navy testing events as a watch stander, providing safety information and data collection.
• Make independent technical assessments and decisions during critical, time-sensitive Navy flight tests.
• Guide, coach, and train other employees on project execution and technical responsibilities.
• Perform onsite tasks including inventory control, production builds, repairs, and systems grooming.
• Coordinate with external contractors, Integrated Technical Solutions, and Navy customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree with 9+ years of related experience, or a Graduate Degree with 7+ years of experience.
• In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance.
• 4 years of experience using analog and digital test equipment to troubleshoot and validate complex electronic systems.
• 4 years of experience in electronic troubleshooting and repair with quality assurance workmanship.
• 4 years of experience in electronic systems installation and testing.
• Ability to travel up to 20% to US and UK locations.
• Ability to climb and work on elevated platforms and support occasional weekend work.

• Strong small team management and leadership experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for customer coordination.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and innovation skills.
• Experience reviewing and improving documented technical procedures.
