Lead Entity Program Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate salmon habitat recovery efforts across the North Olympic Peninsula (WRIAs 17, 18, and 19)
• Facilitate collaboration between local governments, tribal nations, agencies, landowners, and nonprofits
• Manage grant-funded programs, including monitoring funding, work schedules, and progress reviews
• Represent the North Olympic Lead Entity to political entities, media, and state/federal agencies
• Guide committees in developing habitat restoration project lists under Salmon Recovery Planning Bill guidelines
• Coordinate regional habitat restoration planning and implementation
• Organize and facilitate workshops, field trips, and inter-agency meetings
• Assist in identifying and securing additional funding from public and private sources

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in forestry, geology, hydrology, fish or wildlife management, environmental science, ecology, land use planning, or a related natural resources field
• Five years of professional experience in natural resource management or related communication and advisory roles
• Experience with stakeholder facilitation and partnership building
• Experience with grant management and program oversight

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working directly with tribal nations
• Experience working with volunteer organizations or Boards of Directors
