About the role
Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze data to determine failure modes
- Update databases and present test methodology
- Implement lab processes for equipment scheduling, tracking, maintenance, calibration, and repair
- Identify and recommend continuous improvement opportunities
- Participate in Lab team goals and HOS activities
- Assure compliance with established ETS processes
- Perform leak tests, vacuum system assembly, permeation testing, and production gas testing
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in ultra-high vacuum operations
- Familiarity with vacuum equipment including pumps, valves, and leak detectors
- Ability to identify and diagnose root cause and resolution
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, including VBA
- Proactive approach to troubleshooting technical problems
- Must be a U.S. Person (citizen, permanent resident, or protected status)
Preferred Qualifications
- Vacuum Technology Degree or completion of core Vacuum Courses
- Extensive experience with vacuum test equipment
- Strong hand tool and equipment maintenance skills
- Ability to read and understand electronic schematics and engineering specifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
