Lead Engineer - Transmission SCADA

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, maintenance, and optimisation of SCADA assets across the transmission network
• Manage, develop, and mentor the SCADA team to foster a high-performance culture
• Deliver effective change management processes for internal and external stakeholders
• Contribute to future SCADA investment strategies, policies, and long-term planning
• Oversee SCADA-related budgets, contractor performance, and delivery against RIIO objectives
• Provide technical leadership for Major Project Delivery, including design, specification, and implementation

Requirements

• Proven track record in SCADA systems management within a utility or transmission environment
• Extensive experience leading teams and managing technical specialists
• In-depth knowledge of SCADA architectures, industry-standard protocols, and operational practices
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, budgets, and complex technical problems independently
• Solid understanding of network data, business systems, and network management platforms
