Lead Engineer, Supplier Quality

Responsibilities

• Manage the supplier qualification process and approve new product development resources using SPPAP tools
• Oversee production assurance, including pre-shipment inspections, process audits, and problem-solving
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives both internally and at the supplier level using Lean Six Sigma
• Conduct supplier health checks, process audits, and sustainability/social accountability audits
• Drive PPM improvements and manage high-risk supplier progress through robust corrective actions
• Coordinate with global teams on new project ramp-ups, engineering changes (ECN/REA), and technical design activities
• Monitor SPC and MSA parameters using Minitab to ensure process stability

Requirements

• University degree in Mechanical or Electronic Engineering
• 10+ years of professional experience in quality control and new product development (NPD)
• Strong knowledge of international certifications including ISO9000, QS9000, TS16949, and SA8000
• Proficiency in problem-solving methodologies such as PDCA, 5W, 8D, Lean Six Sigma, and SPC
• Hands-on experience with manufacturing processes like Die Casting, Forging, Machining, and Heat Treatment
• Excellent project management skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Fluent written and verbal English communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using SAP for enterprise resource planning
• Proficiency with Minitab for statistical analysis
• Deep understanding of GD&T and CQI9 processes
