Lead Engineer, Supplier Quality

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier qualification, resourcing, and new product development approval processes using SPPAP tools.
• Oversee production assurance, including pre-shipment inspections, process audits, and problem-solving.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives both internally and at the supplier level using Lean Six Sigma and 8D/QC Story approaches.
• Conduct supplier health checks, SQA, process audits, and sustainability/social accountability audits.
• Monitor supplier PPM, SPC, and MSA to implement robust corrective actions and drive improvements.
• Coordinate with global teams on technical design activities, engineering changes (ECN/REA), and project ramp-ups.
• Present monthly progress reports on high-risk supplier improvements to senior management.

Requirements

• University degree in Mechanical or Electronic Engineering.
• 10+ years of professional experience in quality control and new product development.
• Deep knowledge of international certifications including ISO9000, QS9000, TS16949, and SA8000.
• Strong problem-solving skills utilizing PDCA, 5W, 8D, Lean Six Sigma, and SPC.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Excellent project management skills and fluency in written and verbal English.
• Hands-on experience with manufacturing processes such as Die Casting, Forging, Machining, and Heat Treatment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in using SAP and Minitab for data analysis and monitoring.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T and CQI9 processes.
