Lead Engineer, Senior - PHY & RF

Responsibilities

• Design PHY systems for 5G NR and beyond, including modem architecture and algorithm development
• Develop physical layer algorithms for wireless transceivers
• Analyze RF and baseband interactions, focusing on RF impairments and digital mitigation
• Conduct system performance analysis, modeling, and tradeoff studies
• Address spectral and transmitter requirements such as CFR, ACLR, SEM, PAPR, and power control
• Work with beamforming concepts and multi-antenna systems
• Contribute to system architecture studies and design documentation
• Collaborate with software, firmware, RF IC, and test teams to debug system-level issues
• Engage in research-oriented systems work and standardization-influenced studies

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
• 3+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience (Master's with 2+ years or PhD with 1+ year also accepted)
• Strong foundation in wireless communication and signal processing
• Solid understanding of communication theory, probability, random processes, and detection/estimation theory
• Hands-on experience with Matlab, C, or C++ simulations
• Experience or strong interest in 5G NR, LTE, WLAN, or related wireless technologies

Preferred Qualifications

• MTech with up to 5 years of relevant industry experience
• PhD with up to 3 years of industry or applied research experience
• Experience with RF and baseband filtering concepts
