Lead Engineer, Security Operations

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of developers in driving hands-on development and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products focused on Privacy & AI Governance.
• Actively contribute to development using Core Java, J2EE, and Spring Boot.
• Guide team members through mentorship and technical leadership.
• Design and develop microservices ensuring high performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and DevOps teams for deployment and configuration management.
• Solve complex technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation.
• Utilize Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, to manage project workflows.

Requirements

• 8 to 12 years of total professional experience.
• 6+ years of hands-on experience in J2EE development (Java 17/21, REST, Web Services, and JDBC).
• 6+ years of experience with Maven, Spring MVC, and Spring Boot.
• 6+ years of experience working with AWS, including Serverless, Docker, and K8S.
• 2 to 4 years of experience in a Lead Engineer or technical leadership role.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and RDBMS (MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, or Cassandra).
• Experience with performance tuning for Java-based applications and working with CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Elasticsearch and Kafka.
• Experience with NoSQL platforms, specifically Cassandra.
• Familiarity with AI-powered tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT) to assist with code generation and automation.
