Lead Engineer - Project Engineering

Responsibilities

• Review and mark up P&IDs based on project specifications, mass balance diagrams, and customer tagging requirements.
• Perform technical calculations including line sizing, velocity checks, pump sizing, and blower sizing.
• Develop comprehensive equipment lists, valve lists, instrument lists, and electrical load lists.
• Prepare technical packages for critical commodities, rotating equipment, and static equipment.
• Conduct sanity checks on P&IDs regarding pressure, flow, storage levels, and dosing studies.
• Coordinate with modelers to monitor design progress and review fabrication drawings.
• Perform manual material take-offs from P&IDs and facility arrangement drawings.

Requirements

• Engineering Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
• 4-7 years of professional mechanical engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of P&ID and the ability to read heat and mass balance diagrams.
• Knowledge of water treatment processes including pre-treatment, filtration, and post-treatment.
• Proficiency in line sizing and velocity check calculations.
• Thorough understanding of MOCs and piping specifications.
• Experience working with international standards such as ASME, ASTM, API, and DIN.
