About the role
Responsibilities
- Review and mark up P&IDs based on project specifications and mass balance diagrams
- Perform line sizing, velocity check calculations, and equipment weight calculations
- Develop technical packages for critical commodities including valves, instruments, and rotating equipment
- Verify process projection calculations such as membrane tank sizing and blower capacity
- Develop equipment, valve, electrical load, and instrument lists
- Coordinate with modelers to monitor design progress and review fabrication drawings
- Perform manual material take-offs from P&IDs and facility arrangement drawings
Requirements
- 4-7 years of mechanical engineering experience
- Engineering degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
- Basic understanding of P&ID, heat and mass balance diagrams, and water treatment processes
- Proficiency in using engineering standards such as ASME, ASTM, API, and DIN
- Experience working with global customers or global delivery centers
