Lead Engineer - Production Preparation

Responsibilities

• Manage manufacturing data, including the creation and maintenance of production Bills of Material (BOM) and item master data in the Infor M3 ERP system.
• Execute engineering change notices (ECNs/CNs) within ERP and PLM systems to ensure design changes are accurately reflected in production.
• Coordinate production preparation for new product introductions (NPI) and pre-series builds, ensuring tooling, work instructions, and master data are ready.
• Act as the primary interface between Engineering, Production, Quality, Sourcing, and IT to synchronize product changes and material availability.
• Drive continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives, such as Value Stream Mapping and Kaizen, to optimize production preparation processes.
• Support digitalization efforts by implementing digital tools for enhanced change management and production planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
• 8–10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, production planning, or industrialization, ideally within heavy engineering.
• Strong expertise in ERP systems (Infor M3 preferred) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
• Proficiency in lean manufacturing tools such as 5S, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping.
• Excellent project coordination and cross-functional communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and high attention to detail regarding technical data.
