Lead Engineer Product Engineering Axle Box

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of TBU and related components within the railway product engineering domain
• Design and develop components and assemblies while considering specific application requirements
• Incorporate manufacturing process methodologies and apply DFM and DFA guidelines
• Manage engineering change management (ECM) processes and maintain product structures
• Utilize advanced modeling, assembly, and detailing techniques to develop 3D models
• Apply GD&T and Geometric Product Specification (GPS) to engineering drawings and tolerance stack-up analysis

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
• 8-12 years of relevant functional work experience in design and development
• Proficiency in Creo (5-8 years) including advanced modeling and assembly techniques
• Proficiency in Windchill or other PLM systems (5-8 years)
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, GPS, and tolerance stack-up analysis
• Experience with casting backgrounds and knowledge of material behavior (metals, alloys, plastics)
• Knowledge of DFMEA, FEA, and manufacturing process capability

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience within the Railway domain
• Experience in metrology and metallurgical activities
• Understanding of project management principles and business process value
