Lead Engineer - PD&E Industrial ISEAM

Responsibilities

• Define and develop engineering requirement specifications for bearing components and assemblies.
• Identify and deliver strategic engineering projects focused on performance enhancement and cost reduction.
• Support business case evaluations by assessing technical and commercial viability.
• Conduct design reviews using DFMEA, risk assessments, simulation tools, and DVVP.
• Drive engineering change assessments and coordinate validation and implementation efforts.
• Perform competitor product benchmarking to support business development and factory needs.
• Collaborate with global product development centers to ensure strong regional engagement.

Requirements

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent field.
• 6 to 12 years of industry experience in Product Design & Development or Application Engineering.
• Proven experience in machine design, mechanical component design, and product testing/validation.
• Strong knowledge of New Product Development processes (experience with DFSS, DFM/DFA is an advantage).
• Proficiency in CAD and PLM tools, specifically PTC Creo and Windchill.
• Experience with project management and gated development processes.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes including steel, machining, and super finishing.
• Ability to interpret simulation tool results and perform analytical tasks like VA/VE projects.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical knowledge in bearings, bearing applications, and Noise & Vibration (N&V).
• Understanding of digital tools and design automation.
• Experience with manufacturing 4.0, Lean, or Green manufacturing principles.
