Lead Engineer - Mechanical Validation

Responsibilities

• Responsible for complete Vehicle, Product (ePack, ePump, ePort and BMS) and Integration testing with a focus on mechanical aspects
• DVP creation and sign off, ensuring robustness of the DVP
• Data collection and analysis at vehicle and component level
• Analyzing CAN data and other data collected on Exponent Products
• Developing analysis methods for voluminous data
• Creation of accelerated test cycles based on actual customer usage
• Development of test fixtures to simulate customer usage
• Creating dashboards and metrics to decode customer usage
• Representing validation activities in Cross-Functional Teams (CFTs)
• Managing a team of engineers to ensure goals are met
• Development of test standards and adherence to IATF16949
• Driving root cause analysis for issues identified during validation
• Field failure simulation of modes missed in validation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 7-10 years of experience
• Experience in Instrumentation and Data analysis
• Strong knowledge of testing processes and vehicle components
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for supplier and cross-functional collaboration
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills
