Lead Engineer Integrated Engine Design - Propulsion

Responsibilities

• Develop the technological roadmap for engine structures and piping hardware
• Oversee structural analysis of propulsion hardware including thermo-mechanical and fatigue analysis
• Define engine dynamic behaviour and ensure compliance with subsystem requirements
• Collaborate with DFMA and manufacturing to ensure successful hardware translation
• Lead and coach the Integrated Engine Design team, including recruitment and performance evaluations
• Manage development schedules, work packages, and track system progress
• Make hiring and technology decisions and assist with financial planning and budgeting

Requirements

• Master’s degree or higher in Aerospace, Mechanical, or related Engineering field
• 4+ years of experience in rocket engine development
• Expertise in cryogenic propulsion systems and complete engine assembly
• Strong background in structural design, development, and testing of propulsion hardware
• Hands-on experience with regeneratively cooled chambers and engine structures
• Fluent in English

Preferred Qualifications

• German language skills
• Experience with ANSYS, Siemens SimCenter, NX, and PLM software
