Lead Engineer, Custody Engineering (Tokenization)

Responsibilities

• Drive the evolution of the foundational architecture and engineering roadmap, focusing on scaling and tokenization phases.
• Serve as the technical owner for the full tokenization lifecycle, including asset issuance, settlement mechanics, and on-chain verification.
• Lead the secure design, implementation, and audit of smart contracts and the backend workflows that interact with them.
• Define and enforce auditable security controls and governance rules that meet institutional standards for asset safety.
• Act as the primary cross-functional technical interface between engineering, product, and operational compliance teams.
• Mentor a team of engineers and set high standards for code quality, security reviews, and engineering judgment.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience architecting and scaling production-grade systems.
• Expert-level fluency in Solidity and the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM).
• Deep knowledge of token standards such as ERC-20, ERC-3643, or Token-2022.
• Strong command of architecting secure off-chain services using TypeScript, APIs, and event indexers.
• Hands-on experience with modern Web3 development and testing frameworks like Foundry or Hardhat.
• A security-first mindset with proven expertise in preventing smart contract vulnerabilities and leading teams through audits.
• Ability to communicate complex protocol logic and security trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Engineering experience within the finance or high-security sectors.
• Familiarity with SVM/Solana or Daml/Canton smart contract development.
• Experience with C++ for interfacing with broader platform systems.
• Knowledge of modern key management paradigms such as MPC or HSM.
• Familiarity with institutional-grade digital asset custody environments.
