Lead Engineer

Responsibilities

• Oversee the overall engineering design process and lead cross-functional technical development from concept through production
• Manage, schedule, and track all engineering tasks and project work, including directing and training other engineers and designers
• Provide technical direction and design oversight throughout the entire engineering design lifecycle
• Review and approve engineering designs, specifications, drawings, BOMs, and fabrication work orders for manufacturability
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, firmware, and manufacturing engineering teams to ensure cohesive product development
• Partner with customers to address specification and design questions or clarifications
• Implement standardized designs and processes to increase production efficiency and quality

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field
• 7+ years of relevant engineering experience
• Full product lifecycle development experience
• Strong understanding of design principles, manufacturing processes, and common materials/fabrication methods
• Proven experience coordinating and leading cross-functional engineering teams
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
