Lead Electronics Project Engineer

Responsibilities

• Drive completion of program milestones including System Requirements Review, Preliminary Design Review, and Critical Design Review.
• Incorporate traceable hardware and software requirements, use cases, and acceptance test procedures to meet customer contract requirements.
• Create essential project documentation such as work estimates, integrated master schedules, and interface control documents.
• Support risk reduction planning and maintain decision matrices and development rationale using enterprise database tools.
• Lead technical meetings both onsite and remotely using various video conferencing tools.
• Mentor engineering staff through structured product development processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) from an accredited institution.
• 5 years of experience working with electronics systems and electronics manufacturing.
• 5 years of experience working within stage-gate, structured product development environments.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• U.S. person status (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or protected status under asylum/refugee status) due to export control laws.
• Strong analytical, root cause analysis, and problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in an Engineering discipline or similar technical field.
• 8+ years of experience in a technical or engineering discipline.
• Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS NexGen.
• Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools like Cameo.
• Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project or Jira.
• Familiarity with quality management within an AS9100 environment.
