Lead Electronics Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide electronic engineering expertise to internal and external stakeholders across the full product lifecycle
• Ensure continued product conformance to design through technical documentation review and adherence
• Assess and approve alternative components to mitigate obsolescence and supply chain challenges
• Lead and approve engineering changes through formal ECN processes
• Drive redesign and product improvement projects, balancing technical, quality, cost, and schedule requirements
• Lead root cause investigations and implement effective corrective actions
• Produce high-quality technical documentation and engineering reports
• Support obsolescence and counterfeit mitigation strategies
• Mentor and coach graduates and junior engineers to foster team capability

Requirements

• Degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent experience
• Proven experience in digital or analogue design or evaluation
• Experience working within reliability-critical environments
• Strong understanding of design verification and validation principles
• Experience approving design changes and participating in critical design reviews
• Proficiency with CAD tools (Altium and Windchill preferred)
• Knowledge of applicable aerospace or regulated industry standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within the aerospace or another highly regulated sector
• Exposure to RF design or evaluation
