About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain verification and validation plans (DVP&R) for IMUs, angle sensors, and related electronic components
- Translate product requirements and design risks into structured, risk-based validation strategies
- Lead the application of FMEA outputs into validation planning to ensure all identified risks are mapped to appropriate activities
- Coordinate validation activities across simulation, lab testing, hardware-in-the-loop (HIL), environmental testing, and machine-level field testing
- Review and analyze validation results to provide technical feedback and recommendations to design and development teams
- Own the validation completeness assessment and provide recommendations on product readiness for design release
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Managers, Systems Engineers, and Firmware Engineers
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Experience with electronic product development across electrical, mechanical, and firmware disciplines
- Working knowledge of validation methods including lab, simulation, and environmental testing
- Proven experience developing or executing test plans and DVP&R-based validation activities
- Experience with FMEA-driven validation planning and risk mitigation traceability
- Strong communication skills with the ability to produce structured test reports and present findings in program reviews
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with IMUs, MEMS sensors, or automotive/off-highway sensing systems
- Background in reliability or durability validation
- Experience in structured validation systems and gated development processes
- Strong hands-on lab or machine testing experience
