Lead Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of electrical systems for oil and gas, power, and renewable energy industries
• Prepare load lists, load calculations, cable sizing, earthing, and lighting calculations
• Schedule, plan, and execute electrical engineering and design activities per project requirements
• Develop and review technical specifications and design criteria
• Prepare Material Requisitions for equipment including Transformers, HV/MV/LV Switchgears, and UPS
• Perform technical bid evaluations (TBE), vendor drawing reviews, and attend FAT for major electrical packages
• Perform and review complex engineering calculations and Power System Studies using ETAP/SKM
• Ensure HSE requirements are understood and implemented by the engineering team

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering
• Minimum 15+ years of experience in Oil & Gas or industrial projects
• Proven experience managing teams of 10+ engineers on medium to large projects
• Strong ability to read and understand power distribution schemes and SLDs
• Deep knowledge of electrical equipment such as MV/LV Switchgears, transformers, and UPS
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, etc.)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a multi-cultural environment
• Practical working experience with ETAP or SPEL
