Lead Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of discipline staff in the execution of electrical systems design and engineering for complex projects
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, construction trade partners, vendors, and manufacturers
• Develop narratives, reports, construction drawing packages, and construction specifications
• Provide support for construction activities including RFI responses, submittal reviews, and punch list development
• Manage project budgets from an electrical design perspective
• Conduct quality checking of documents and technical verification of design calculations
• Provide mentorship and training to less experienced Electrical Engineers and Designers
• Perform site walks and field surveys to identify and resolve non-compliant conditions

Requirements

• ABET-accredited Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Engineering Technology
• 10+ years of experience
• Relevant AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) firm experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration in good standing

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using Revit and AutoCAD
• Advanced knowledge of GMP manufacturing environments
• Expert knowledge of electrical codes and standards (NFPA, IESNA, UL, OSHA, and/or IEEE)
• Experience conducting field surveys and providing field reporting support
• Ability to travel for client development and project execution
