Lead Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Review mechanical engineering designs, plans, method statements, and construction procedures to ensure compliance with project requirements and international codes
• Verify construction work aligns with approved design specifications and witness site tests
• Conduct regular site inspections and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports
• Oversee quality control and assurance for electrical construction and commissioning activities
• Identify and address construction issues, conflicts, and discrepancies while developing mitigation strategies
• Ensure electrical construction and testing activities adhere to the project schedule
• Assist in evaluating site progress, including reviewing progress payments, change orders, and claims
• Review commissioning and O&M manuals submitted by the Contractor
• Oversee electrical project closeout, including punch list items and as-built documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field
• Proven experience as a lead electrical engineer in large-scale construction projects
• Experience in the energy or power industry preferred
• In-depth knowledge of local and international design codes and standards
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
