Lead Electrical Designer

Responsibilities

• Manage a group of electrical designers in the development of electrical raceway systems
• Oversee electrical design activities to ensure alignment with project schedules and budgets
• Track and report design progression, quantities, and forecasting to project management
• Interface with construction teams to ensure designs are safe, constructible, and cost-effective
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and project stakeholders
• Review design deliverables for accuracy, quality, and adherence to department and national codes
• Mentor design team members and act as a field resource to assist with construction issues

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience in electrical design
• Proven experience leading electrical design teams
• Experience managing project budgets and schedules
• Proficiency in SmartPlant 3D
• Strong ability to conceptualize designs within a 3D environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and within a multi-discipline team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience specifically within the power generation industry
