Lead EHS Technician

Responsibilities

• Support the EHS Manager in identifying and mitigating safety hazards
• Enforce EHS policies and ensure compliance with Federal and State regulatory standards
• Maintain records of workplace incidents and assist with corrective actions
• Use EHS software platforms like Origami to document incidents and manage compliance
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and behavioral safety observations
• Perform PPE hazard assessments and monitor site conditions
• Coordinate inventory and disbursement of safety equipment and supplies
• Lead assigned EHS projects and safety initiatives with minimal supervision

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of EHS experience or secondary education
• Knowledge of occupational environmental, health, and safety in manufacturing settings
• Current CPR/AED/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
• Strong communication and advisory skills
• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment

Preferred Qualifications

• OSHA 10- or 30-hour training
• 3 years of experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience in EHS within a manufacturing environment
