Lead EHS Specialist

Responsibilities

• Support the Newton facility and corporate functions in all matters relating to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS)
• Develop and implement programs for accident prevention, awareness, and safe work performance
• Create safety systems, policies, procedures, and communication campaigns to train managers and employees
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental and safety regulations
• Conduct inspections, determine root causes for incidents, and implement required corrective actions
• Serve as a liaison with local, state, and regional safety groups and agencies
• Ensure conformance with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 systems
• Manage the recording and tracking of workers’ compensation injuries and OSHA reporting requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent professional experience)
• 5+ years of relevant experience in EHS
• Proven leadership ability with strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Strong organizational and facilitation skills with the ability to prioritize tasks

Preferred Qualifications

• OSHA 30 Hour Course certification
• ISO 14001/ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification
