Lead Early Learning Teacher

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement curriculum and programming that meets YMCA standards and NH State Licensing requirements
• Provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children
• Build positive relationships with children and families while maintaining confidentiality
• Conduct regular observations and assessments to adapt curriculum and provide bi-annual reports to families
• Lead daily classroom activities, including setup, meals, and cleanup
• Supervise, mentor, and guide classroom staff, including Assistant and Associate Teachers
• Communicate expectations, share weekly classroom plans, and provide timely feedback to team members
• Model professional behavior and set the standard for staff performance

Requirements

• Must meet State of New Hampshire licensing requirements for Lead Teacher
• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications (or willingness to obtain)
• Proven experience in early childhood education
• Experience in curriculum planning and classroom leadership
• Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
• A positive, patient, and nurturing approach to children and staff
