Lead Early Learning Teacher

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement curriculum and programming that meets YMCA standards and NH State Licensing requirements
• Provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children
• Build positive relationships with children and families while maintaining confidentiality
• Conduct regular observations and assessments to adapt curriculum to children’s needs
• Lead daily classroom activities, including setup, meals, and cleanup
• Supervise, mentor, and guide classroom staff, including Assistant and Associate Teachers
• Communicate expectations, share weekly classroom plans, and provide timely feedback
• Model professional behavior and set the standard for staff performance

Requirements

• Must meet State of New Hampshire licensing requirements for Lead Teacher
• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications (or willingness to obtain)
• Experience in early childhood education with curriculum planning and classroom leadership
• Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
• Positive, patient, and nurturing approach to children and staff
