Lead Early Childhood Teacher

Responsibilities

• Inspire learning using a thoughtfully designed curriculum to deliver engaging lessons
• Support child growth and well-being through responsive care and classroom management
• Build strong relationships with families through open communication and daily interaction
• Collaborate with educators to create a joyful and purposeful classroom culture
• Support children's social, emotional, and academic growth in an inclusive environment

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must meet Illinois DCFS qualifications for a Lead Teacher
• 60 semester hours of college credit with 6 hours in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, OR a CDA credential, OR an Associate's/Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
• Minimum age of 18 years old
• Experience teaching in a licensed preschool setting

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
• 5–10 years of experience in a licensed childcare setting
• 2–3 years of experience in a Montessori or Reggio-inspired environment
