Lead DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities

• Take full technical ownership of Novo's cloud infrastructure and developer platform on AWS
• Design, build, and maintain infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and Terragrunt
• Automate scaling, patching, incident response, and day-2 operations to reduce manual toil
• Implement and evolve CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions
• Drive technical direction through design reviews and partner with Engineering Managers to deliver infrastructure projects
• Develop and enforce security policies, including Zero-Trust networking and automated TLS management
• Monitor and troubleshoot services using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and CloudWatch
• Leverage AI-assisted tools and LLMs to accelerate infrastructure delivery and automate incident triage

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure with at least 3 years of hands-on AWS expertise
• Expert-level proficiency with Terraform
• Strong Linux systems knowledge, including networking and performance tuning
• Deep container expertise with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm
• Strong scripting skills in Bash and Python
• Proven experience with CI/CD platforms like Jenkins or GitHub Actions
• Hands-on experience with monitoring/logging stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
• High AI fluency, including daily use of AI coding assistants and applying LLMs to infrastructure problems
