About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain automated provisioning pipelines (PXE, ZTP) to deploy bare-metal servers at scale across global data centers.
  • Research and recommend innovative, automated approaches for system administration tasks.
  • Perform regular security monitoring, OS patching, and hardware/software failure recovery.
  • Conduct ongoing performance tuning, resource optimization, and maintenance of data center equipment.
  • Act as a technical lead and mentor for the infrastructure team to drive operational excellence.
  • Partner closely with the CTO and other technical teams to improve reliability, automation, and incident response.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of DevOps or system administration experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in team leadership or people management.
  • Proficiency in Shell, Python, Java, and SQL.
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef for bare-metal automation.
  • Strong understanding of L4/L7 load balancing (HAProxy/Nginx) and network performance tuning.
  • Experience with orchestration tools such as Jenkins or Airflow.
  • Experience with observability platforms like Prometheus, Grafana, or InfluxDB.
  • Hands-on Unix/Linux experience and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Availability for rotational shifts as part of the incident response team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Kubernetes.
  • Systems Administration or System Engineer certification in Unix.
