Lead DevOps Engineer

About the Company

HyperHug is an international game development studio specializing in the shooter genre. We are developing Oxide: Survival Island, an immersive multiplayer survival shooter for mobile platforms.

Responsibilities

• Own the DevOps/SRE function end-to-end, including building and scaling the team
• Design and implement strategies to prevent, detect, and mitigate DDoS attacks
• Handle incident management, severity updates, and rapid response
• Deploy and manage a centralized node control system for infrastructure governance
• Apply regular security patches and updates to ensure system integrity
• Set up and maintain highly available, fault-tolerant database architectures
• Manage and monitor global servers across multiple regions, including US-based servers
• Design scalable solutions for high-load environments and maintain CI/CD pipelines

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps or SRE roles in high-load environments
• Proven track record of building DevOps processes and teams from scratch
• Hands-on experience with DDoS mitigation tools
• Strong knowledge of centralized node management systems
• Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or similar)
• Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
• Experience with database deployment and management
• Proficiency in English (B1+) and Russian (C1)
