Lead Developer

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical guarantor for the Shopify architecture and the entire digital ecosystem
• Make critical technical decisions regarding performance, security, and scalability
• Develop key features using Liquid, React/Next.js, Node.js, and Shopify apps
• Ensure reliable data flows between Shopify and external systems such as ERP, WMS, CRM, and DataLake
• Define and evolve technical best practices including CI/CD, QA, automated testing, and documentation
• Build and lead a high-performing tech team from scratch, including recruitment and mentorship
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers to ensure technical feasibility and drive a high-impact product culture

Requirements

• 6 to 10 years of web development experience, including at least 2 years as a Tech Lead or Lead Developer
• Expert-level mastery of Shopify, including Liquid and performance optimization
• Strong proficiency in React, Next.js, Node.js, and TypeScript
• Deep understanding of API architectures, specifically REST and GraphQL
• Proven experience with CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, and security best practices
• Natural technical leadership skills with the ability to make structural decisions in a fast-growing environment
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building and scaling tech teams from the ground up
• Previous experience working in high-growth scale-up environments
• Experience with complex integrations involving ERP, WMS, or PSP systems
