Lead Designer

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for assigned functions, ensuring best practice is applied throughout all project stages
• Coordinate design delivery across all disciplines, working alongside Senior Digital Construction Managers and Building Services Leads
• Manage the design and quality of a portfolio of projects in collaboration with Sector Leads and Region Directors
• Line manage and mentor design managers, acting as a career manager for the team
• Conduct regular site visits to review design programmes and ensure all parties meet their obligations
• Build a centre of excellence through training and continuous professional development

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in a design role within a main contractor environment
• Experience carrying out site audits and project reviews
• Proficiency with BIM level 2 projects, including COBie data and LoDM knowledge
• Full driving licence
• Passion for developing others and building high-performing teams
